A betr login should take five seconds: address bar, email, password, done. When it fails, the password is rarely the culprit — more often the account was never verified, a self-exclusion is running in the background, or a support ticket has sat unanswered for a fortnight. Here’s how to sign in, how to recover access, and which lockouts won’t lift at all.
How to log in to betr
One account covers everything. The credentials set during the betr account registration process work on the website and in the app: no separate app sign-up, no second password.
Signing in on the website
- Type betr.com.au into the address bar yourself, or use your own bookmark.
- Select Login in the header.
- Enter the email or username the account was opened with, plus your password.
- Clear any prompt betr shows on a device it doesn’t recognise.
Signing in on the app
The iOS build is listed as “betr | Sports Betting App”: 133 MB, iOS 16.1 or later, rated 18+. On Android the package is still au.com.bluebet, left over from the BlueBet platform. Both open on the same login screen; installation is covered in our betr app download guide. Nothing beyond email or username and password is documented, so fingerprint unlock is your handset’s doing, not a betr feature.
Always type the address yourself
If we kept one section of this page and binned the rest, it would be this one. Phishing empties more Australian betting accounts than anything else, and the script is dull: a text says your account is suspended, the link lands on a copy of the betr login screen on a lookalike domain, you type your details, the page throws an error, and somebody else has your password.
- Never log in from a link. Not email, not SMS, and not a sponsored search result either.
- betr will never ask for your password, by phone or in chat. Anybody who does isn’t betr.
- Read the domain character by character. betr.com.au is the site; betr-com-au.net is a trap.

Forgot your betr password
Choose the forgotten-password option, enter the email on the account, open the reset link, set a new password. When nothing arrives:
- Junk and spam first. Reset mail from bookmakers gets filtered hard.
- Question which address you used. TopSport customers moved onto the betr platform when that deal closed on 1 April 2025, and BlueBet accounts were rebranded across on 14 August 2024.
- Wait ten minutes, then request once more. Send four and only the newest link works.
- Still nothing: email [email protected] from the address you think is on file, or ring 1800 002 387.
Forgot the email or username
No self-service route here: you prove who you are to a person. Have this ready:
- Full legal name, date of birth and address as entered at sign-up
- The mobile number on the account
- Roughly when your last deposit went through and by which method (PayID, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, debit card or bank transfer)
- Any older email addresses you might have used
Send the last four digits of a card at most. Nobody at a bookmaker needs a full card number or your password to identify you.
Why a betr login fails

When BetStop is the reason
BetStop has been the national self-exclusion register since 21 August 2023, run by the ACMA. Registering blocks you at every licensed Australian provider at once, betr included. If that’s why the login fails, it is working exactly as intended.
Three months is the shortest registration, and neither support nor a second account will shorten it. There’s no upper limit either: you can register for years or for life, so the twelve-month bar above is where we capped the scale, not a real ceiling. Nor does it lapse on its own; once the minimum is up you have to ask BetStop to remove you.

Two-factor authentication and password hygiene
betr doesn’t publish a security specification, so check your account settings and switch on whatever second factor is offered. Given the choice, take an authenticator app over SMS, because SIM-swap fraud makes a text message the weakest option.
- Use a password unique to this account. One recycled from an old breach is a matter of time.
- Let a password manager generate and store it, so length costs nothing.
- Change it the moment you realise you typed it on a page reached from a link.
If someone else has been in your account
- Change the password from a device you trust, not the one you suspect.
- Check bet history, deposits and pending withdrawals, especially whether payout details changed.
- Screenshot everything with timestamps before contacting anyone.
- Email [email protected] and ring 1800 002 387 the same day, asking for the account to be suspended.
- Tell your bank or PayPal if a payment method was touched.
The honest part: support is the bottleneck

How do I log in to betr?
Open betr.com.au or the app, select Login, then enter the email or username you registered with and your password. The same credentials work on both.
I forgot my betr password, what do I do?
Use the forgotten-password link and enter your registered email. If the reset mail doesn’t arrive, check spam, confirm the address is the one the account was opened with, then email [email protected].
Why is my betr account locked?
Usually incomplete verification, a take-a-break period, a BetStop registration, an operator restriction, or a closure request. Only the verification case is fixable by you alone.
Can I log in to betr from overseas?
betr is licensed in Tasmania and serves Australian customers, so an overseas IP may block access or betting. Using a VPN to get around that risks the account itself.
How do I get back in after self-exclusion?
Not until the term you chose has finished: three months minimum with BetStop, and it can’t be shortened. After that you must actively request removal. A take-a-break period ends on its own.
Is there two-factor authentication on betr?
betr doesn’t publish its security specification. Check the security section of your settings and enable what’s there; where you get a choice, an authenticator app beats SMS.
